Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg for Sidney Lowe, age 78, a life resident of the Veedersburg community, who died at 11:50 p. m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Anna Furr in Veedersburg. He had been ill three years and seriously ill since Monday. The Rev. Samuel Pritchard officiated and burial was in the Rockfield Cemetery, south of Veedersburg. Born Nov. 24, 1881 in Veedersburg, he was the son of Samuel and Ida Shipman Lowe. He had worked at the Veedersburg Brick Co. and had attended the EUB Church. Survivors include his sister and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers. --typed by Walt W
